Wroud is a straightforward and engaging word game that challenges players to uncover a six-letter word within three guesses from a cloud of letters. The game offers a simple yet captivating experience that encourages players to utilize their word knowledge and deduction skills to solve the puzzle.

Gameplay Overview:

1. Letter Cloud: In Wroud, players are presented with a letter cloud that contains the six letters of the target word and an additional three (or four in hard mode) random letters. The objective is to identify the correct six-letter word hidden within this cloud of letters.

2. Guessing: Players can select letters by clicking directly on them within the letter cloud. Alternatively, they have the option to use characters from their keyboard or choose letters from already completed rows.

3. Three Guesses: Each player is granted three guesses to successfully determine the hidden six-letter word. Every guest is an opportunity to deduce the word based on the provided letters.

4. Color-Coded Feedback: After submitting a guess, the game provides feedback through color-coded tiles. This color scheme assists players in gauging how close their guess is to the actual word:

   • Correct letters in the correct positions are indicated by a specific color (e.g., green).
   • Correct letters in incorrect positions are indicated by another color (e.g., orange).
   • Letters that are not part of the word are displayed in a distinct color (e.g., grey).

5. Word Validity: Unlike some word games, Wroud does not require guessed words to be valid words themselves. The focus is on identifying the correct letters in their correct positions, even if they do not form a valid word.

6. Timer: The game introduces a timer that begins after the first letter is selected. However, there is no strict time limit, allowing players to engage with the game at their own pace without feeling rushed.

7. Word Refresh: To keep the gameplay fresh and engaging, a new six-letter word is presented every 12 hours. This frequent refresh provides players with ongoing challenges and opportunities to test their word-guessing skills.

How to play Wroud

Select a letter from the keyboard, the cloud, or previously finished rows by clicking on it. There are three possibilities. The colors of the tiles will change after each guess to show how close you were to spell the word correctly. Your guess doesn't have to be a real word.
