Roguelite Structure

Rotwood features a roguelite structure that is characteristic of contemporary games, offering a dynamic and ever-changing gameplay experience. Players traverse through various biomes, starting with 2.5D forest glades, where they engage in intense battles against enemies before progressing to the next area. Each biome presents new challenges, encounters with enemies, opportunities to interact with shopkeepers, and surprises along the way.

Power Progression System

Upon clearing a room, players are rewarded with new powers that enhance their abilities and grant them minor bonuses initially. These powers range from increased speed upon entering a room to unleashing projectiles after a set number of melee attacks. Similar to popular games like Slay the Spire and Risk of Rain, players can stack synergistic powers and upgrade them, gradually becoming more powerful as they advance through the game.
