Clicking on a clue highlights the corresponding empty cells in the grid, with yellow indicating the selected cell and light green indicating neighboring cells. Black cells remain empty and do not contain any letters.

Players can choose to reveal individual letters, entire words, or even the entire puzzle to uncover the target words and progress through the game. Additionally, the pencil mode allows players to temporarily note down words as they work through the clues.
